BORDEAUX CITY

The 12th International Conference on Multiaxial Fatigue & Fracture (ICMFF12) will be held in the University of Bordeaux in the well known city of Bordeaux (France) from June 24 to 26, 2019.

 

Bordeaux is located 50 km far from the Atlantic ocean coast, in the southwest of France with an international airport and at 2 h only from Paris by high speed train.

Bordeaux is known in the world as the major wine industry capital. Its wine has been produced in the region since the 8th century. The historic part of the city is on the UNESCO Heritage List as “an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble” of the 18th century.

After Paris, Bordeaux has got the highest number of preserved historical buildings of any city in France. Bordeaux economy is also organised on aeronautics and space industry for civil and military application with laser and plasma technologies too. Bordeaux area has the most important concentration of optical and laser expertise in Europe.

 

Furthermore, Bordeaux and the Nouvelle Aquitaine region are very attractive for Tourism.
